Novel Animal Model of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder

Abstract

During the last 30 years there have been many attempts to develop animal models of obsessive compulsive disorder. In the past 5 years, however, there is a change in the field with most papers aiming to study the pharmacology and neural basis of compulsive behaviors using a few established animal models of OCD, and only a few papers presenting new animal models. In 2012 we had develop the active animal models of OCD and here we focusing the information about new animal models of OCD (Indian Patent No. 3087/DEL/2012).
