Allergic Pathology at Pediatric Age

Abstract

A review of one hundred medical records of children under the age of 14, 60 of them with a family history of allergy, with noted prevalence of extrinsic asthma (28.3%/4.6%), rhinitis (63.3%/20%), sinusitis (28.3%/17.5%) and urticaria (6.6%/2.5%), while in those without a family history the predominance is of eczema (10%/3.3%), food allergy (7.5%/3,3%), drug allergy (7.5%/5%), selective IgA deficiency (5%/1.6%) and thymic persistence (2.5%/0%), with some differences between both groups.
