Abstract

Asymptomatic carotid artery stenosis (ACAS) is a pathological condition that occurs when an atherosclerotic plaque affects carotidal wall in absence of cerebrovascular symptoms. Many patients come to medical attention without a clear idea of this pathology, as totally asymptomatic.
