Gene expression profiling (GEP) has been shown to have great potential to become a powerful diagnostic tool for lymphoma classification. However, it is not clear whether the expression pattern of immunoglobulin light chain genes defined by GEP can be used as a diagnostic signature to differentiate B-cell lymphoma from B-cell hyperplasia.
