Sleep Health: A Prominent Public Health Concern in the Time of COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract

The psychological impact of COVID-19 pandemic is presented. Results from studies conducted from diverse geographical regions present the escalation of symptomology in patient with mental health diagnoses and the new onset of disturbance with first responders. The importance of including the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disturbance is identified. A public health concern for substantive, significant interventions to the COVID-19 pandemic will increase in viability with the inclusion of sleep health considerations.
