AIMS AND SCOPE

Alzheimer's & Dementia International

is a an international, open access, peer reviewed journal completely dedicated to publish original research work carried out in the field of basic science, translational research and clinical medicine that will enhance current understanding and improves treatment of various neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. The journal aims to provide the researchers, scientists and professionals working in this field with an outstanding open platform to read, share and discuss on latest advancements.
Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills, and eventually the ability of brain to do the day to day tasks and is irreversible. Experts says that this is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior, and suggest that more than 5 million Americans are suffering. Parkinson's disease is a progressive disorder of nervous system that effect on movement. Commonly, starting with Tremors, the disorder also causes stiffness and slowing of movement. Parkinson's disease can't be cured, and medications might significantly improve only the symptoms. Occasionally, doctors suggest surgery to regulate certain regions the patient’s brain and improve the symptoms. The cause of Parkinson’s disease is unknown, but researchers speculate that both genetic and environmental factors are involved.
